Description

If you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience in Mauritius, you shouldn’t miss the dolphin-watching boat trip that blends adventure, natural beauty and true Mauritian hospitality. This full-day program starts early in the morning and takes you on a magical ocean journey filled with dolphins, coral reefs, an iconic rock formation and a palm-fringed island lunch.

Program itinerary

1. Departure from Flic en Flac – 7:30 AM (transfer available if needed)

The adventure begins on the west coast, departing from Flic en Flac beach at 7:30 AM. Punctuality is important, as dolphins are most active in the early hours. A professional, licensed crew welcomes you on board – only officially registered operators are allowed to run dolphin tours to ensure the animals’ protection.

2. Dolphin watching and swimming in Tamarin Bay

The first stop is the famous Tamarin Bay, where you have a high chance of encountering wild bottlenose or spinner dolphins. The crew ensures respectful and safe interaction, and you can swim near the dolphins in a guided, controlled way – an unforgettable experience.

3. Snorkelling at a coral reef

After meeting the dolphins, the boat heads to a nearby coral reef where you can snorkel in crystal-clear water. Expect colourful fish, coral formations and a calm lagoon. All equipment is provided on the boat, but you’re welcome to bring your own mask.

4. Crystal Rock – photo stop at the iconic formation

Next, you visit the iconic Crystal Rock, a volcanic rock formation rising alone from the ocean. It’s the perfect spot for a quick photo break before heading to the final highlight of the day.

5. Picnic lunch on Benitiers Island

The last stop is Benitiers Island, where you’ll enjoy a relaxing beachside picnic. Lunch is an authentic Mauritian BBQ, featuring grilled fish, chicken, salads and garlic bread, served with soft drinks, beer, wine and local rum. You can swim, sunbathe or simply relax under the palm trees.
