Departure from the North Coast – Grand Bay or Cap Malheureux

The tour starts between 8:00 and 9:00 in the morning from one of the northern departure points: either Grand Bay or Cap Malheureux. We confirm the exact meeting point a few days before the trip. You will be travelling by speedboat, which guarantees quick but safe transfers between the islands, and speed-lovers will also be very happy. Transfer service can be arranged if needed.

Stops and experiences throughout the day:
Flat Island and/or Gabriel Island – swimming, relaxing, snorkelling

Your first stop is Flat Island and/or Gabriel Island, where the sheltered lagoon between the two islands is perfect for snorkelling. The water is crystal clear with incredible visibility, colourful fish and diverse coral formations. If you’re lucky, you may even meet sea turtles or rays.

Authentic BBQ on the island – lunch prepared on the spot

While you are exploring the underwater world, the crew prepares lunch: grilled chicken, fish, vegetable rice, and garlic baguette. Simple but packed with flavour, this is a true Mauritian-style BBQ served with cold soft drinks, beer, and Jungle Juice. Jungle Juice is a local rum cocktail served on many boat trips so enjoy, but with caution.

Coin de Mire – deep-water snorkelling in another world

The return journey isn’t direct. The speedboat makes one more stop at the breathtaking Coin de Mire, where a completely different snorkelling experience awaits you. The water here is deeper, the coral structures are larger, and the visibility is so clear that you can see several metres below. Many guests say this is the highlight of the day.

End of the program – return between 3:00 and 4:00 PM

After an unforgettable snorkel at Coin de Mire, the speedboat brings you back to your departure point, usually between 3:00 and 4:00 PM. Expect that pleasantly tired feeling after a full day on the water, along with memories and photos that will stay with you forever.
