These Terms and Conditions (T&C) apply to the use of the mauritiusevents.com website and to all booking requests submitted through the site.


2. Scope and Purpose of the T&C

2.1. These T&C regulate the conditions for sending booking requests for Mauritius-based programs (tours, excursions, boat trips, activities, hereinafter: Programs) available on mauritiusevents.com.

2.2. No final booking agreement is created on the website, and no online payment is processed. All information submitted through the website qualifies solely as a booking request, not a confirmed reservation.

2.3. By using the website and submitting a booking request, the user (hereinafter: Client) accepts these Terms and Conditions.


3. Nature of the Service

3.1. The Service Provider presents various Program options on mauritiusevents.com and allows Clients to submit non-binding booking requests.

3.2. After receiving a booking request, a representative of the Service Provider will contact the Client within 2 business days via phone or email to confirm details, availability, and pricing.

3.3. The final reservation and payment are completed directly with the local partner agency or the Program provider in Mauritius, under their own terms and conditions. The Client will receive these details during the follow-up communication.


4. Booking Request Process

4.1. Clients may submit a booking request by completing the form on any Program page.

4.2. The following information is required:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Travel dates or desired program date
  • Accommodation / location in Mauritius
  • Number of adults and children
  • Selected Program and any notes

4.3. After submitting the request, the Client receives an automatic confirmation that the form has been received. This message does not confirm the booking, and does not create any payment obligation.

4.4. Within 2 business days, a representative will contact the Client to discuss the details, available dates, pricing, and the next steps.

4.5. The final booking and payment take place off-site, directly with the Program provider or partner office. The Client receives a separate confirmation that constitutes the actual agreement.


5. Formation, Modification, and Cancellation of the Final Booking

5.1. A booking request submitted on the website does not constitute a binding contract under civil law.

5.2. The actual contract is established between the Client and the local Program provider or agency based on their own terms.

5.3. Rules regarding modification, cancellation, refunds, or rescheduling are governed by the terms of the local provider. These will be communicated during the confirmation process.

5.4. The Service Provider reserves the right to update program descriptions, pricing, or availability based on partner information. Such changes apply only if communicated to the Client before final confirmation.


6. Participation Conditions and Responsibilities

6.1. The Client is responsible for providing accurate and valid information during the booking request. The Service Provider is not liable for issues caused by incorrect data (e.g. mistyped phone number, wrong travel date).

6.2. Participation in Programs may require meeting certain conditions (age limits, physical ability, required equipment, etc.) set by the Program provider.

6.3. Outdoor programs subject to weather conditions (e.g. boat tours, hikes) may be changed or cancelled by the provider for safety reasons. Refunds or rebooking options are handled according to the provider’s policies.

6.4. The Client participates in all Programs at their own risk and must follow the instructions of guides, captains, and other professionals.


7. Limitation of Liability

7.1. The Service Provider acts strictly as an intermediary, presenting Programs organised and operated by third-party providers in Mauritius.

7.2. The Service Provider is not responsible for the execution, quality, transportation, catering, safety measures, or any on-site service provided during the Program.

7.3. Photos, descriptions, menus, itineraries, and timing on the website are illustrative, and minor variations may occur depending on the provider.

7.4. The Service Provider is not liable for damages resulting from:

  • actions or omissions of third-party providers,
  • the Client’s behaviour,
  • unforeseeable events (weather, government restrictions, technical failures, force majeure).

7.5. The Service Provider is not responsible for temporary website issues, technical problems, downtime, or data loss, though all reasonable efforts are made to ensure smooth operation.


8. Complaints and Legal Remedies

8.1. Feedback or complaints can be submitted via:

8.3. If a consumer dispute remains unresolved, the Client may contact the competent consumer protection authority, the conciliation board of their place of residence, or pursue legal action in court.


9. Copyright

9.1. All content on mauritiusevents.com (texts, images, descriptions, graphics) is protected by copyright, owned by the Service Provider or authorised third parties.

9.2. Any copying, reproduction, redistribution, or reuse of the website’s content without written consent is prohibited.


10. Data Protection

10.1. Personal data submitted through booking requests is used exclusively for communication, booking coordination, and program-related information.

10.2. Details of data processing are included in the separate Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.


11. Amendments and Governing Law

11.1. The Service Provider may modify these T&C unilaterally. The updated version becomes effective upon publication on the website.

11.2. These Terms and Conditions are governed by Hungarian law.

11.3. For legal disputes not involving consumer rights, the jurisdiction of the court located at the Service Provider’s registered address is agreed.
